No new taxes?
I have to tell ya, I like to read when I'm eating my cereal in the morning. This morning I was reading up on the questions that will be on the ballot come November. One of the questions is getting rid of the state income tax in Massachusetts. The supporters say that your town taxes won't go up and that the government is just misspending the funds from our contribution and this will straighten them out. Now, as much as I would love some extra coin in my paycheck but I'm a bit wary come February after our 15th snowstorm, where will the funds come from to clear the street? I'm sure that thought is irrelevant but I'd like to know from any one who lives in a income tax free state, is it worth it?

Texas doesn't have state income tax. Sales tax varies from county to county and city and to city. Its 8.25% in my city. And property tax can be high . . .
I think it all comes out in the wash.
Good point. I have to agree about the laundry;)
