500

Before I start, I want you to know, this is not a New Year resolution.

I accidentally gained 7 pounds over the holiday season and now none of my clothes fit. I want to lose at least 12 lbs. That would be the 7 I gained in the last 2 months + the 5 I been fighting with for about the past 10 years.

I read an article that you need to burn 3,800 calories to lose a pound. My goal is to burn at least 500 a day. It’s so not easy. I up’d my cardio to 50 minutes and make sure I do weights. I keep reminding myself I can’t be lazy and only run. I switched going to the gym after work instead of the morning because I have less excuses.

I’m also tracking my calorie intake.

I’ve been on this regimine for 2 weeks and I’ve lost 2 lbs. woo-hoo! My pants still don’t fit me though. I have a lot to do.

Any suggestions?

Eat a lot of veggies. That is what I do, especially Broccoli. I love it steamed with a little spray butter. NO eating out for at least 2 weeks. Try to up your fish intake. I get the frozen Talapia, signature grill and have it with frozen sweet potato fries (very little fat)

Definitely make sure you're eating enough. It sounds like you're mixing it up a bit with cardio, which is good. But rest days are important too!! You can do it!

We picked up a used dvd set of P90X form craigslist. There is a lot of variety in the workouts and surely a lot of calorie burning!

Stop the madness!! You're a beautiful person inside and out! You drive me cRaZy with the calorie counting and fretting about 2 pounds! Exercise is wonderful for your body and mind and should be enjoyable! Do it because you like it and it makes you feel good and eat sensibly - you already do that, now stop fretting, that's my suggestion - NO MORE FRETTING.
