Issues with radio stations

I am not a bah-humbug kind of girl but what's up with radio stations already playing Christmas music? I do like a good Holly Jolly Christmas but before Thanksgiving?

Maybe we should have more Thanksgiving songs. There's plenty to sing about. Food, the weather, the relatives, food, the spirit of giving thanks. Food. See, plenty to sing about. You can rewrite a couple of Christmas songs into Thanksgiving songs. Give it try, I'd like to hear some.

I'm sure it's just a ploy from the retailers expecting a poor outcome for this years holiday season. They think "I know, let's play Christmas music now, even though it's only early November."

Play the Christmas music and they will come!

My office plays X-mas music from the day before turkey day until after the New Year. It sucks, first of all it's the same 12 songs all day by different people. Multiply that by a month and you hear Jingle Bells about a thousand times. By mid-Dec I'm ready to crap mistletoe.
